Overview
Brighton’s children’s programs are designed to offer kids an exciting opportunity to learn about skiing or snowboarding.
Certified instructors are trained to help children not only focus on fun and safety but also to help them meet their goals of learning new skills and improving their ability on more challenging terrain during various conditions.
Kinderski/Young Rider (ages 4-7) programs are for skiers/snowboarders of all ability levels. This program offers group lessons that allow your child to explore the mountain according to his or her own ability and comfort level. Classes are limited to six or less, giving your child the personal attention that ensures an enjoyable and educational day of skiing or snowboarding. Kinderski/Young Rider classes are offered every day at 9:45am and 1:15pm. There are several affordable options to choose from.
Kinderskister/Young Ridester (ages 4-7) programs meet consecutively on Saturdays and Sundays to help children master skiing through continuous practice. Brighton’s Kinderskister/Young Ridester instructors make skiing and snowboarding lessons fun and safe while teaching new skills. Classes are limited to seven or fewer and children are grouped by age and ability level. Children from Kinderskisters/Young Ridesters are often recruited onto the Brighton Race Team. Kinderskister/Young Ridester programs are offered in December, January, and February.
Skister/Boardster (ages 7-15) is Brighton’s oldest Ski and Snowboard School program. Similar to our Kinderskister/Young Ridester program, Skister/Boardster offers an opportunity to older children to reach higher ability levels. Children are grouped by age and skill level and classes are limited to ten students. Children completing the Skister/Boardster program are often recruited to the Brighton Race Team or as Peer Instructors.
