  Overview

Come play in Brigham Young’s backyard. Well, not literally, although this land once held that distinction. City Creek Park later served as the first culvert built in the city to control the seasonal flooding of the creek.

The park covers 1.7 acres adjacent to Salt Lake’s business district, making it a nice place for local suits to get a breath of fresh air. Its location marks the point where City Creek returns as a surface running stream that links City Creek Canyon and Memory Grove with the Brigham Young Memorial Park and downtown Salt Lake City.
