  Overview

If you hear people say Liberty Park is “for the birds” they won’t be insulting the place; they’ll mean it, literally. The park’s 16 wooded acres of outdoor recreation contain the Tracy Aviary, America’s only public bird park with more than 450 birds from around the world. The Chase Home Museum of Utah Folkart is also on the grounds.

As for recreation, you can practice your swing on one of the tennis courts, stroll the walkways, paddle boat across the pond, or frolic with your children in the garden/play area. There are also concessions lest you get hungry from all the activity.

One of the neatest attractions, and the newest, is the “Seven Canyons Fountain.” It’s a topographical map depicting the Wasach Front and its canyons, and covers about an acre. The canyons are labeled and water flowing down each represents the actual rivers.
